About Us and Our Dogs

When I was twenty years old I moved from upstate New York to Oklahoma to finish college and be near my dad who had moved there the year before. I was house sitting for him during the week while he was away at work sites - it was very lonely. I convinced him that I need a "little dog" to keep me company and set out one Sunday afternoon in search of a Yorkie! Well, fortunately I didn't know my way around the city very well and soon found myself lost in one of the thousands of housing developments. I stopped at the first house that I saw some people to ask for directions. I told them that I was looking for a puppy. They just happen to have a litter of Dobermans. Five little black guys came trotting out into the yard and a woman came out carrying a little red bundle - I had never seen a red Doberman before and immediately fell in love with my first soul mate in the breed - Taisha. I started training Taisha in obedience when she was four months old and showed her for a short time, obtaining her CD. Four years later Taisha and I met my future husband, Ralph and he too fell in love with the breed. We have been owned by dobermans for 25 years and between the two of us we have shown in Obedience, Conformation, Hunting and Agility. We love our dogs, they are our family and though we have greatly mourned the loss of four wonderful companions, I can't imagine our lives without our dobes.
