Elisabeth Bart, M. Ed.,
WABA, ATRIC, AEA, USWFA, WSI
Aquatic Specialist, Wellness Facilitator

Liz Bart on the BeachLiz's passion for water began in her childhood days on Long Island. As a Special educator for Behaviorally Disordered children, Liz incorporated many holistic and relaxation techniques in her curriculum. While a mother with young children, she began teaching water exercise classes, again addressing the whole person. When speaking at a Water Exercise conference in Florida she was offered a Watsu session. It was an immediate match for who she is and what she believes in!

Liz has been a certified Watsu practitioner since 1998 and continues to expand her technique through ongoing education. She is a member of the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association and is certified through the Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute. Liz's studies include Watsu, Healing Dance, the Jahara Technique and Aquatic Integration. Each warm water therapy session is individualized and may include any a combination of these techniques. In addition to operating Soothing Waters, Liz teaches yoga and college level Wellness classes that focus on "Educating for Humanity".

Liz continues to derive immense pleasure from water and delights in sharing the Wonders of Water with others by helping them to achieve independence in water. Her 12 year public school teaching experience is an asset in teaching swimming skills to children and adults. liz2Her experience as a Watsu practitioner has added to her success in working with those who are fearful of water by promoting relaxation and trust. She is a certified Water Safety Instructor.
