Seibold Christmas 97 Letter

We are not divorced, destitute, dead, or even ill
But Christmas ‘96’s letter wasn’t done ‘til April.
Last December we were in Arizona for some sun,
Swimming pools, wild animals, bowling, cousins and fun.
Justin had his 11th birthday and ‘til February we were on the go
With strenuous activities that take place in the snow.
Laura learned to snowboard, Erin & Justin got to ski
Erin, Justin & Dennis tried once to snowboard – not me.
In March Erin stayed with Laura during Choral Clinic at AAA.
During Spring Break Laura was home for a week. Yeah!
Sherri’s school next fall will go through some changes
So she is thinking of shifting down her grade ranges.
April and May are very busy with school.
Erin and Justin’s science projects were rated as cool.
Projects, ladies retreat, spring musical, fieldtrips galore,
And in the teenager dept.—Erin (13) made it one more.
After her uncle died Sherri flew to CA to visit family during the loss,
To remember the hope in a Heavenly reunion, and to thank God for Jesus and the cross.
School comes to an end on the 9th of June
And if you ask Sherri it wasn’t any too soon!
During campmeeting in the trailer (dry!) Sherri and the kids were glad.
Guess who visited the Seattle area for a few weeks? Lola and newly retired Dad!
In July Erin finally got her bottom braces
And we were busy going different places.
Dennis goes to Montana to test the 737-700 (his plane).
Then we’re off to Glacier to meet Dennis’ family (back to Montana again).
Erin loves horse camp and Justin has soccer camp and lessons in golf.
Laura works for Mom setting up a school library and they wish they had the summer "off".
We spend one last family weekend (with Lola and Dad) at the Oregon beach.
I can’t believe it is August already and I have to think "Teach"!
Without kicking and screaming Sherri turns the big 4-0
And off to Auburn Adventist Academy as a sophomore Laura will go.
Sherri and her brother Kevin’s visit to their Grandparents changed with a key
That opened up a room filled with antiques and info to help the family tree.
September 2 Justin begins grade 6 and Erin grade 8
And Sherri decides teaching grades 1-4 is great.
Laura turns 16 and is starting to drive.
So far we are all still alive!
Dennis is setting up a computer lab at school.
With the struggles he had networking them many thought him a fool.
October brought rainy camping with friends
And Erin finally orders her contact lens.
Sherri goes to Eastern Washington- apple picking no less.
Dennis’ folks come for a few days and then Dennis uses the cider press.
November and December went by so fast
But we have many memories that will always last:
Lola and Dad for Thanksgiving, Erin and Laura’s friends (& some pets) were able to stay,
Our 19th anniversary, a Christmas party, and "Christmas in Hawaii" the school Christmas play.
We wish for you this season the very best
And pray that that 1998 will be blessed.

Dennis, Sherri, Laura, Erin and Justin Seibold
