Ridge - Fisher Lake Hike - Elevation: 5,350 feet. Green Trails
Map # 175. Fisher Lake and Ptarmigan Lakes lie just past
Mt Sawyer and the rolling meadows of Sawyer Pass, up three hills
(mountains!!!) huddled in a ring of dramatic rocky cliffs. We
did this 2 nighter with Paul, Katie and Camile for our annual
backpacking trip.

The lake with the island is Ptarmigan Lake,
which we did the second day. We pretty much had the whole lake
to ourselves, as the "three hills" (multiple1000 ft
transitions as we crossed over the ridges) eliminated the faint
of heart! Yogi and Tanna reverted to wild beast, and when
I threw a fish back into the lake, Yogi dove in after it (yes,
we did pack dogfood, but they ate it all, like wild beasts!).
