A Friend In Yourself
When we are born and raised in life,
we soon will take a husband or even a wife.
There is one thing for sure, we can always look for,
it is a person that we can rely on, behind every door.

But as in life, we must do something first,
look to ourselves, and not just for the worst.
We each have a spot, in this world we live,
so we must learn what is special that we all can give.

When we meet this person, of one or maybe more,
can you understand what they want, right to the very core.
Deeply searching for that one true friend,
can give your life real meaning, right to the very end.

But also know, that in this friend you want to find,
you must make sure they like you for you, and not just your mind.
Not caring if you have, any wealth or even fame,
is truly in the friend, your search should really aim.

So, in searching for this friend, you must first set a goal,
and know what you want, from the deepest of your soul.
Knowing within your own mind, whether poor or with wealth,
you can only find a true friend, when you first find
A Friend in Yourself.
