Lakes-Open
The following bodies of water have been known to be OPEN in the past, however,
the Bureau of Reclamation has closed some of the lakes and other lakes that have
previously been open may now be closed.
As a pilot, you are responsible to contact the governing agency of each body of
water and determine, independently, after providing them with all of the
information as to the location and nature of your intended use, whether or not
your proposed use is, or is not, allowed. I have marked in Red as BoR
under the restrictions column, those lakes that are currently closed according
to the BoR.
Unfortunately, we are unable to guaranty the accuracy of the listings. We
are seeking local knowledge on BoR restricted
bodies of water. If you have been to any of these bodies of water in
the past we want to talk with you. If you know of any addditional

Washington State Department of Transportation has a wonderful website and was
the source of much of this information, however they have removed
their Seaplane Base and Landing directory from their
site!
