May
31st   Mike Brown Memorial, Lake Tahoe, CA.  This is supported, in part, but the local EAA Chapter 1073 and the local community which has, in the past, provided funding for the insurance policy.  Only a one-day, but there is a pancake breakfast at the EAA Chapter and a BBQ at the Obexer’s Marina in Homewood.  The local Sherriff’s Boat and CC Auxiliary Boats provide security and support.

July
7th-11th... EAA's Arlington regional fly-in is straight float accessable.Contact Joel at 360-377-9076 or joelmapes@comcast.net  The plan is to run a self-serve operation again like last year. Three or four buoys will mark anchors for moorage and two sets of cleats will be temporarily installed on the dock. The resort is already taking reservations for campsites and cabins for this season http://www.lakegoodwinresort.com/ and bus service is available from the resort to Arlington airport http://www.commtrans.org/BusService/Schedule.cfm?route=240 with a stop at 188th St NE and 47th Ave NE. I plan to overnight there with the Kitfox (God and the FAA willing) and there may be a few other Chapter 406 members staying there too. It would be great to see more float planes on the lake this year. Info for this year will be posted soon at http://www.arlingtonflyin.org/flying/Seaplane/?menu=flying%20in

August
6-8th  Stillwater Landing   Bill and Connie Montgomery have invited us all to join them for their magnificant event.  This year they've combined the music with the splash-in and our famous chef Matt Campbell will be bringing his famous salmon again!  Assuming he has good luck on his trip to Canada the week before.  Bill writes....we're only 15 miles from Whitefish Montana, and 40 miles from the West entrance to Glacier National Park, nearby GPI ( old FCA) provides three major carriers, room to park you jet or single engine land plane, with full service Kalispell city airport (S27) and the grass strip at Whitefish ( 58S,no services) close by.  Of course we have lots of space for float planes and amphibians on our lakeshore plus ample RV space.  There is camping (close to your  seaplane) and lots of music and activities. There will be several food vendors , breakfast and pot lucks at our hangarCheck out more details at www.stillwaterlanding.com and our new Facebook, Stillwater Landing fan page.  We also are working with the www.FlyingMusicians.org  which is encouraging fly in music events around the country.  You can contact Bill .... bill@stillwaterlanding.com,  406 881 2236 or 425 750 6100 cell

28th    Annual Lake in the Sky Airshow at the South Lake Tahoe Airport.  This is not specifically a seaplane event, but we have always tried to get a good seaplane turnout to promote public acceptance of seaplane access to Lake Tahoe.  Last year they did so and, as a result, they have had a good rapport established with the biologist responsible for invasive species issues in Lake Tahoe.  This year they are hoping to set up a tent with information about seaplanes and their use in the Western US.  Ray Arceneaux has been nominated to run this and they may make some kind of a fly-out event for Sunday, perhaps a picnic on Lune Lake or one of the other high reservoirs that are open there.

24th-26th  Clear Lake California  largest gathering of seaplanes on the west coast!
