Washington Seaplane Pilots Association - By-Laws

As authorized at the 2005 Grounded Hogs Dinner, the WSPA leadership has drafted and adopted a new set of by-laws for the organization. These new by-laws were presented to and approved by the membership at large 2006 Grounded Hogs Banquet. These new by-laws serve to update and formalize the governance of our organization.

The Board of Directors serves to set organizational policy and direction, and to ensure continuity in leadership independent of officer changes. The Board consists of five (5) members, four (4) of whom are elected by the membership; the fifth (5) member is the currently-serving President, who also chairs the Board. The Chair has no vote unless the elected members are tied, in which case the Chair casts the deciding vote.

The Officers are appointed by the Board, and have no defined term of service. Board members serve for a period of three (3) years; there is no prohibition on re-election of a Board member.  See the "Contacts" page for a current list of Officers and Board Members.
