This is a Khepesh, a short sword used by Ancient Egyptian foot
soldiers in the New Kingdom. In some artistic
works, it took the traditional role of the mace in the hands of the Pharaoh.. that of dispatching a kneeling
enemy. The PVC of the blade was bent
slightly, and there are three 45* connectors in the entire thing. I haven’t
tried this out yet, but I’ve been wanting to make
one for a while. We’ll see if it works okay. By the way, that’s supposed to
be a lotus blossom on the pommel. ^.~*
In total it’s about 28” long and weighs about 1lb.
